DR DERMIS’s product shelf life is 3 years upon the manufacturing date.  For serums and face creams, we recommend it to be used within three months of purchase. Body cleansers and body creams should be used within six months to one year of purchase.

DR DERMIS products and formulas are dermatologist tested, some ingredients that we formulate may not be recommended for use during pregnancy. With any specific skincare questions or concerns while breastfeeding or pregnant, we always recommend that you consult your physician.

DR DERMIS Hydraceutic range is the best choice for you. It is for intensive hydration and is suitable for dry and sensitive skin.

We do not recommend using any products that have expired. First up, they won’t be as effective, active ingredients break down over time and there’s potential for chemicals to alter. Expired products will also become full of bacteria and transferring that to your skin might cause redness, a mild rash, or an eye infection.

The methods of storing your skincare are equally important as keeping an eye on the product’s expiry dates, bathrooms are unfortunately not the right place to store skincare, the humidity and changes in temperature can cause issues for most formulas. Keep them away from spots where they’ll get too hot like windowsills or above radiators and try to avoid exposing them to too much light. We suggest keeping your products in a cupboard or drawer and don’t forget to reseal after using.

Serums are applied after cleansing and toning and before your moisturizer. If you don’t use toner, then apply serum directly after cleansing.

Serum layering is the newest skincare trend that targets specific skincare concerns by applying up to 2-3 serums at a time. Best to layer serums with the lightest to thickest textures.

All Dr Dermis’s serums are suitable for daily day and night use. However, for serums with highly active ingredients such as Vitamin C or Retinol, it is best to finish off your skincare routine with sunscreen during the day.
